Posting this on behalf of a friend
Guys 'n gals,
A good friend of
mine had his black 2002 Hilux stolen on Monday in
Canberra out of his garage in
Gungahlin.
They used his own truck to steal half his household belongings as
well. :(
Detailed description information:
Vehicle details:
Type: 2002 Double Cab 3.4 V6 Toyota Hilux
Colour: Black metallic - silver over wheel arches
Model: VZN167RPRM
VIN: JTFDN69660000198_
Engine: 5VZ158765_
Rego: YCH56_ (black plastic plates - front one is missing)
Accessories on Vehicle
GME TX3400
UHF radio, Outback roof console, Rancho RS900x shock absorbers with in-cab adjust system,
rock crawler torsion bars, OME heavy duty rear leaves (last 2 creating a 2.2 inch lift) dual
battery system, safari
snorkel, carryboy canopy (colour matched), long
ranger 115ltr fuel tank,
diff breather, hella spotlights, reversing spotlight, side steps, alloy bull bar, tekonsha voyager
electronic brake controller, heavy duty hayman reese tow kit, tray liner, 2 * 10000kg front
recovery hooks, additional 12V outlet in rear, tinted windows,
shoo roo attachments on bull bar,
headlight covers, driver and passenger weather shields, bonnet protector.
The vehicle was reasonably dirty on the outside (mud) and had tonneau cover rub marks back to the
white undercoat around the outside top edge of the tray. These are visible below the canopy line.
The interior of the vehicle was clean but had paperwork scattered around inside. The rear
seat has
been removed and replaced with a large wooden board with tie down points. There is a cigarette burn
hole in the front passenger
seat cover. It also has an expired NSW National Parks pass on the
bottom right of the front wind shield and a South Australia Desert Parks Pass on the bottom left of
the wind shield.
If you see this black 2002 Hilux V6 SR5 driving around
Canberra at the moment, dumped on the side
of the road, or in any shops or driveways getting "modified"... Please contact the
Police on 13
1444 or CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000 with information...
Anything leading to him getting it back would be of assistance.
The household items can all be replaced, but the truck is his pride and joy - I'm sure we can all
relate to that!
Thanks
Sandy
